Dental Caps

As we age, so many of us find ourselves with teeth that are no longer structurally sound. Root canals, lost fillings, decay below a filling, chipping and cracking of the enamel are all things that lead to large-scale problems with a tooth's surface. When the entire surface of the tooth is at issue, but the root system is intact, a cap might be appropriate for you.

An impression (mold) of your tooth is made and a dental laboratory will create the needed custom cap. You will typically leave the office with a temporary cap to wear while the permanent cap is being made. This takes about two weeks and usually requires only two office visits.
